Today we have smartphones, laptops, smartwatches, and so much more and it's all due to globalization. Without the innovations of one country, the rest of the world would not have the technology they have today. Countries spread their ideas and products in order to trade and create new relationships and because of that new ideas and innovations were produced.
Vaccines
When vaccines became available to the world, the ability to protect yourself from illnesses was a lot easier. Before vaccines, millions of people died from disease, and there was no cure to many of today's curable diseases. After the first vaccine, the need for more spread and new vaccines were invented.
Intermodal Transportation
As the technology evolved over the years, transporting goods is now faster and more efficient than ever. Throughput has continually increased since 1980 and a majority of the containers being shipped are full. As the transportation industry grew the time it takes to transport goods is almost instantaneous. The need for products has increased which then pushed the need for more transportation and faster shipping times.
